Fellow friend sent me this link on The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly. Great discussion on how people view vacancy from a neighborhood, developer, and financial viewpoint.
the vid itself, while long - goes through what I researched during the spring. The neighborhood is Flatbush, BK which is directly south of Crown Heights and carries a similar proportion of vacancies around.
